Do you know why the Moon has no weather?

Do you know which weather ingredient(s) are missing from the Moon?

Do you know which weather ingredient(s) the Moon has?

Can you list the weather ingredients needed for weather here on Earth?

EARTH’S WEATHER “INGREDIENTS”

1) HEAT energy from the Sun

2) ATMOSPHERE that holds water vapor (humidity)

3) WATER: Oceans, lakes, rivers, clouds

4) Rotation on a TILTED AXIS

5) Different SURFACES (water, rock, trees, etc)

These “ingredients” produce:

6) TEMPERATURE Differences/Changes in Land, Water, and Air

7) AIR PRESSURE Differences/Changes

Which in turn produce:

8) AIR MOVEMENTS: Wind. Jet Streams, and Convection Currents

9) OCEAN CURRENTS (e.g. Gulf Stream)

10) EVAPORATION of Surface Water

11) CONDENSATION of Water Vapor in the Atmosphere forms Clouds

12) 4 Types of Large AIR MASSES:

Cold/Dry, Warm Dry, Warm/Humid, Cold/Humid

13) SEASONAL Temperature Differences

Which in turn, produce:

14) Sudden TEMPERATURE Changes

15) FAIR Weather

16) CLOUDS/FRONTS, FOG

17) RAIN, SNOW, STORMS

18) CLIMATE Patterns

19) HOT/WARM Days, COOL/COLD Nights
